As an architect and educator, Shilpa brings a unique duality to her work — the technical rigour of design thinking combined with the art of nurturing minds. Her teaching philosophy is shaped by her hands-on experience in the field, enabling her to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. For her students, she is not just an instructor, but a mentor who inspires them to think boldly and design purposefully.

Social Impact & Community Work

For Shilpa  architecture is more than just blueprints—it’s about the people who inhabit them. As an architect and educator, Shilpa has spent her career navigating the intersection of creativity and mentorship. However, her most rewarding lessons haven’t always come from a studio or a classroom.

Since 2018, Shilpa has been actively associated with the Angels Link Foundation, a journey she describes as “another kind of learning.” Her involvement with the foundation has deepened her understanding of compassion in action — exposing her to stories, struggles, and strengths far beyond the walls of a home,classroom or design studio.

This work has become a cornerstone of who she is. It has reshaped her perspective, fuelled her passion for social change, and reinforced her conviction that each one of us has the power — and the responsibility — to make a difference.
